2014 AFHE Convention
Invitation from the Director

There is something really powerful about gathering together as a community, isn’t there? When thousands of like-minded people who share a similar vision and passion come together in person, the atmosphere is charged with excitement and expectation.

Anyone can listen to a recording or podcast of a great talk or place an order online, but sharing the experience together in person is dynamic and energizing. God meets us here. He provides answers and direction, often even through other homeschooling parents. The AFHE Convention is so much more than just listening to a speaker or shopping for curriculum ... although you will certainly find those things and more.

Attending the convention is a unique opportunity to get inspired, refreshed, and equipped to continue—or perhaps begin—the adventure of home education.

It’s meaningful because of the person you sit next to in a workshop, the conversations you have while waiting for the next session to begin, or while waiting in line to pay at an exhibitor booth. You get encouraged and you have opportunities to encourage others.

The AFHE Convention Committee is hard at work preparing an inspirational weekend for you. We have invited speakers who have a message of hope and encouragement with plenty of practical ideas and insight to help you as you nurture, develop, teach, disciple, and unfold the gifts in your child.

Make plans to join us for AFHE’s 31st Annual Arizona Home Education Convention this summer! We are preparing a smorgasbord of ideas, information, wisdom, creativity, expertise, and opportunities especially for you. We pray that you come away refreshed, re-energized, strengthened, inspired, and full of fresh ideas for the year ahead. You’ll also enjoy shopping in our 80,000 sq. ft. exhibit hall full of exhibitors offering a wide array of quality curriculum and resources. We have several exciting new things in store for 2014, too!

And remember, when the convention is over AFHE will still be here serving the Arizona homeschool community all year long! The AFHE Board of Directors considers it a great honor and joy to be able to serve the homeschool community and protect the freedom to homeschool in our great state. See you in July!
