REGISTRATION
Early registration is now closed.
After June 17th, registrations will
only be accepted at the door for full price regardless of membership
status.
NOTE: If you submitted your registration by the June 17 deadline and you are wondering if we've received it, please check your bank to see if your check has cleared. If it has, your registration is being processed (all early registration checks have been deposited at this time). You will be receiving a confirmation packet in the mail prior to the convention that will include your name badges.
AT-THE-DOOR REGISTRATION FEE: $60 per individual or married couple. (Please visit the FAQ page for details.)
Children ages 3 and older and teens are $10 each.
Children age 2 and younger are free.
NOTE: Volunteer positions for this year's convention have been filled.
PARENTS OF PRESCHOOLERS FREE ADMISSION PROGRAM:
The Parents of Preschoolers program is for parents whose oldest child is age 5 or younger and who have never attended the convention. We are testing this program for the 2009 convention as a means to reach the next generation of potential homeschoolers with the vision of parent-led, family-funded, relationship-based home education.
PARENTS OF PRESCHOOLERS FREE ADMISSION REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. No further registrations can be accepted for the 2009 convention for the Parents of Preschoolers free admission program. No free admissions will be given at the door.
Parents of Preschoolers are still invited to join us for this year's convention. They will need to register at the door and pay the admission fee.
NON-HOMESCHOOLING GRANDPARENTS:
We understand the importance of grandparents in the home education process. Non-homeschooling grandparents are always free if they come with their adult children who are registered for the convention. Grandparents who are still homeschooling one or more of their own children must register separately and pay the admission fee.
TEEN PROGRAM
The 2009 Teen Program will take place both Friday and Saturday
and will feature three great speakers:
NOTE: Julie Hiramine's teen workshops on Saturday build upon one another, so teens are encouraged to plan to attend all three sessions to get the most out of them.
Parents are welcome to attend any of the teen sessions. Teens are welcome to attend any of the adult workshop sessions and to visit the exhibit hall. We expect them to conduct themselves as well-mannered young men and ladies at all times. Children under age 12 are welcome to attend the teen program if accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult.
CHILDREN
Childcare will not be available at the convention. We
love children and want to include them whenever possible. However, this conference is geared toward parent/teacher enrichment and learning. Start early to make child care arrangements. Children and teens ages 3 and older will be charged an admission fee of $10 each. There is no admission fee for infants. A mother's room is available for
nursing, feeding, and changing.
NOTE: Children
under age 12 must remain with an adult at all times. Children
under age 12 are welcome to attend the Teen Program if they are accompanied
by an adult.
The Phoenix Convention Center
is a public facility and the homeschool conference is an event open
to the public. AFHE does not have procedures or staff to oversee the
care of unattended children.
