TEEN PROGRAM
Since Ken Ham is such a tremendously popular speaker with teens and adults alike, we will not be holding a separate program for our youth at this year’s convention.  Teens are welcome to attend all of Ken Ham’s workshops as well as any of the other workshops being offered, and they are invited to spend time in the exhibit hall, too.

CHILDREN
Childcare will not be available at the convention.  We love children and want to include them whenever possible.  However, this conference is geared toward parent/teacher enrichment and learning. Start early to make child care arrangements. Children and teens ages 3 and older will be charged an admission fee of $10 each. There is no admission fee for infants.  A mother's area is available in the Exhibit Hall for nursing, feeding, and changing.

NOTE:  Children under age 12 must remain with an adult at all times.

The Phoenix Convention Center is a public facility and the homeschool conference is an event open to the public. AFHE does not have procedures or staff to oversee the care of unattended children.

WORKSHOP RECORDINGS
Recordings of workshops from the Arizona Home Education Convention and Curriculum Fair will be available for purchase during the convention at the Resounding Voice booth in the exhibit hall. They will also be available directly from Resounding Voice.

PARKING
Parking is plentiful near the Phoenix Convention Center. Most parking will cost approximately $10-$15 per day.

Visit www.DowntownPhoenix.com for a map of downtown parking. Oversized vehicles can be parked in the parking garage at 5th Street and Washington, directly across the street from the Chase Field ballpark entrance.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
Discount rates are available at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix. To receive the group rate, mention Arizona Families for Home Education (AFHE). Reservations must be made no later than June 29 and rooms are limited. $91 single/double occupancy, $116 triple occupancy, and $141 quadruple occupancy. Parking is not included and costs $19 per 24-hour period for overnight self-parking with in-out privileges.

FOOD
Food is available for purchase from on-site concessions, the Metro Bistro, during convention hours for your convenience. In addition, fast food locations and restaurants are within walking distance. The Phoenix Convention Center policy is that NO OUTSIDE FOOD MAY BE BROUGHT IN to the Convention Center - this includes sack lunches or snacks brought from home.
NOTE: No food or beverages, except water, are permitted in any of the workshop rooms or the ballroom.

NON-HOMESCHOOLING GRANDPARENTS
We understand the importance of grandparents in the home education process.  Non-homeschooling grandparents are always free if they come with their adult children who pay regular admission.  Grandparents who are still homeschooling one or more of their children must register separately and pay the admission fee.
