Friends, Family, and Homeschool Community

AFHE's Senior High Graduate Recognition Ceremony is open to the public and we invite the homeschool community to join us in celebrating with the graduates and their families and friends. Admission tickets are not required. Please plan ahead for travel times and parking so that you are seated by 7:00 PM. Sanctuary doors open at 6:00 PM and the ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00.

There will be plenty of seating for families and guests. Seats cannot be reserved during the rehearsal. Families are allowed to save seats from the time of entry at 6:00 PM. Please honor AFHE reserved seating areas as they are necessary for committee members involved during the ceremony.

Minimize noise

Parents, please remember to be considerate of those seated around you and for video quality purposes. If small children become fussy, please take them to the foyer.

No air horns or helium balloons

We request that air horns not be used during the ceremony out of consideration for those seated around you. Also, please note that Phoenix First Assembly does not permit helium balloons in the building.

Bring a jacket/sweater and water

You might wish to bring a sweater or jacket as the church can be chilly at times. You may also wish to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Clinton is an application engineer at Phoenix Analysis and Design Technologies (PADT), a local firm that distributes virtual prototyping, product development, and 3D printing products throughout the southwest. At PADT, he provides technical support, account management, and services to customers in a variety of industries ranging from aerospace/defense to electronics and energy. Prior to joining PADT, Clinton worked in repair of turbine engines, high performance computing, agricultural operations and heavy equipment maintenance.

He received his B.S. (2005), M.S.E. (2009), and PhD (2011) in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University. Clinton’s PhD dissertation examined the application of computational methods to optimize golf ball design. Clinton was homeschooled from first grade through high school, graduating with the AFHE class of 2000. He is the oldest of nine children, the youngest of whom (Colin Smith) is an AFHE 2015 graduating senior. Clinton and his wife Erin have four children (ages 5, 3, 1, and 2 months). In his spare time, he enjoys reading great writing, listening to great music, and advancing great ideas.

Many thanks to Arizona Christian University for their thoughtful sponsorship for this year's AFHE Sr. High Graduate Recognition Ceremony. This sponsorship will be used to provide a pizza dinner for the graduates following the rehearsal. We appreciate the generosity of Arizona Christian University in supporting AFHE and our graduating seniors.
