Membership

AFHE membership provides you with important information about educating your children at home in the state of Arizona and connects you with the homeschool community statewide. Your membership support allows AFHE to watch legislation that may affect parents' rights to teach their children at home in Arizona.

Membership Fee
The cost of annual membership to AFHE is $25 per year for new and renewing members. Renewals made before membership expires will be extended one year from the expiration date.

    Use your AFHE membership card as identification when applying for Educator Discount programs at businesses that offer them.

  • Member Resource Packet

    You’ll receive an updated Member Resource Packet full of useful information to assist you in your home education experience.

  • Arizona Home Education Journal

    The Journal is the printed publication of Arizona Families for Home Education.  Mailed to AFHE members four times per year, this full-color magazine is packed with encouraging articles and practical information to help equip and inspire you as you educate your children at home.

  • Email Alerts

    Members can sign up to receive legislative updates and alerts plus a monthly e-newsletter with information of interest to Arizona homeschoolers.  

  • HSLDA Discount

    Families who belong to AFHE qualify for a discount on their membership fee with the Home School Legal Defense Association. (The discount code is included in your Member Resource Packet.)

  • Convention Admission Discount

    AFHE members who register for the convention by the early registration deadline receive a significant discount on their convention registration fee.

  • Graduate Recognition Ceremonies

    AFHE hosts two graduate recognition ceremonies each year … one for junior high and one for senior high. These events are beautiful, reverent, meaningful celebrations of some very important milestones in a homeschooled student’s life … the transition from junior to senior high and graduation from senior high.  Participation in these ceremonies is only open to AFHE members and is limited to students who have been educated at home by their parents in accordance with ARS §15-802.

The AFHE membership database is held in confidence. AFHE does not share or sell the contact information or email addresses of our members.  

Processing Time
Membership applications take approximately 3-4 weeks to process. Please contact us if it is has been more than 4 weeks since you sent your application and fee if you have not yet received your membership card and resource packet. 

Membership Expiration Date
Your membership expiration date can be found on your AFHE Membership card or on your label of the AFHE Journal.
