Mission Statement
Arizona Families for Home Education (AFHE) strives to serve Arizona home schooling families through:
- Timely and accurate communications
- Representation regarding legislative and educational issues affecting the homeschool community.
AFHE is dedicated to promoting and preserving parent-led, family-funded, relationship-based home education.
Objectives
- To educate families, educators, elected officials, and the public on the laws and merits of parent-directed, home education.
- To monitor state and national legislation affecting homeschooling.
- To publish the quarterly Arizona Home Education Journal, addressing relevant homeschool issues and themes.
- To defend the right to homeschool and to maintain the least restrictive laws and policies for home education.
- To promote and assist independent homeschool support groups
- To sponsor area workshops.
- To sponsor the annual Arizona Home Educators' Convention and Curriculum Fair.
