Mission Statement

Arizona Families for Home Education (AFHE) strives to serve Arizona home schooling families through:

• Timely and accurate communications
• Representation regarding legislative and educational issues affecting the home school community.

Objectives

• To educate families, educators, elected officials and the public on the laws and merits of parent-directed, home based education
• To monitor state and national legislation affecting home schooling
• To publish the bi-monthly Arizona Home Education Journal, addressing relevant home school themes
• To defend the right to home school and to maintain the least restrictive laws and policies for home schooling
• To promote and assist independent home school support groups
• To sponsor area workshops
• To sponsor the annual State Convention and Curriculum Fair
