2006 - HIGHLIGHTS & ACHIEVEMENTS

CHET-NW LITTLE WOMEN'S CLUB

April, 2006

CHET-NW (Tucson) would like to share some of the achievements that our Little Women’s Club has done this year. We are very proud of the way the Lord has chosen to use these young ladies to serve others for His glory.

CHET-NW Tucson has a service club for girls 8 and up. It is called the Little Women’s Club and meets once a month for various service related activities. The group has been together for the last 4 years and consists of about 30 lovely girls and a few helpful moms. This group funds their projects by selling calendars and cards each year.

This year the group has been involved with the following activities:

  • Put together 1500 napkin sets for the Thanksgiving Banquet held by Gospel Rescue Mission.
  • Worked to prepare boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
  • Quilted baby blankets for Crisis Pregnancy Center.
  • Made placemats for the Christmas Banquet hosted by Gospel Rescue Mission.
  • Made, collected, and delivered Valentine meals and flowers to those in our group and others in need.
  • Made gifts for residents at a local nursing home.
  • Visited residents of a nursing home, blessing them with music and dance.
  • Collected items for care packages for service members. Then, boxed and mailed 40 packages to over-seas service members.
  • Made napkin sets, prepared food, decorated and served the 8th and 12th grade graduates and families at our CHET-NW Graduation.
