Arizona Home Education Journal

Thank you for your interest in the Arizona Home Education Journal, a printed, full-color publication of AFHE that is mailed out to homeschooling families statewide.
The Journal is published four times per year with the focus of each issue on helping to encourage, equip, and educate homeschooling families across Arizona.
Advertising in the AFHE Journal provides an excellent opportunity to tell Arizona homeschool families about your product or service. All articles, announcements, and advertisements included in the Journal must support AFHE's philosophy and purpose of promoting and preserving parent-led-family-funded, relationship-based home education.
Submission Deadlines
The following deadlines apply to all article and advertising submissions for the Journal.

Current Advertising Rates
Advertising rates are for one, two, three, or four consecutive issues.
The rates listed below are PER ISSUE. Frequency discounts are outlined below.
Frequency discounts are included. For example, if you purchase a half page ad in one issue the price is $200. If you purchase a half page ad in three consecutive issues, the price is $510 ($170 x 3).

Advertising Contract Terms
By submitting an ad contract, the advertiser agrees to the contract terms below.
THIS CONTRACT IS FOR SPACE ONLY
Content of ads may be changed by the advertiser for each issue. The AFHE Journal Editor or representatives of the AFHE Board of Directors may void this agreement if the terms and conditions for insertion of advertising in the Arizona Home Education Journal Advertising Contract are not met.PAYMENT TERMS
Advertisers must pay for their ads in advance of publication. Payment is due when artwork materials are submitted and must be made no later than the submission deadline for each issue.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Placement of advertisements in the Journal requires a signed Advertising Contract.
ADVERTISING AGENCIES
Advertisers using agencies are responsible for any debts incurred by their agencies in the advertiser's name. If an advertising agency defaults on payment or declares bankruptcy, the advertiser will pay all costs directly to AFHE regardless of whether it has paid the defaulting agency for space.FREQUENCY DISCOUNTS
The Four-Issue Rate applies to at least one display advertising insertion in four consecutive issues.
The Three-Issue Rate applies to at least one display advertising insertion in three consecutive issues.
The Two-Issue Rate applies to at least one display advertising insertion in two consecutive issues.
Frequency discounts are not retroactive to prior advertising insertions. They only apply to current and future insertions.
CANCELLATIONS
Advertising cancellations will only be accepted in writing via email on or before the advertising submission deadline as noted in the contract. All orders are non-changeable and non-cancellable after the advertising submission deadlines (see above).
ADVERTISING MATERIALS
Advertising materials are due by the advertising submission deadline as indicated in this contract. If new advertising copy is not received by the issues ad submission deadline, the publishers of the AFHE Journal will insert the ad that was most recently published.
POSITION
Every effort will be made to meet placement requests, however positioning other than Inside Back Cover and Back Cover cannot be guaranteed. Advertising shall be limited to no more than 30% of each issue.
CONDITIONS
The contents of advertisements are subject to approval by the AFHE Journal Editor and the AFHE Board of Directors. Placement of advertising in the AFHE Journal assumes agreement with all stated policies in this contract. Advertisements must support and promote the AFHE vision of parent-led, family-funded, relationship-based home education. Advertisements for schools (public or private) will not be accepted, nor will programs that replace the parent as the primary teacher in the core subjects. To comply with the USPS regulations for non-profit bulk mail, no ads for travel, insurance, or finance can be included in the magazine. The publisher reserves the right to reject or cancel and advertisement, insertion order, or space reservations at any time for any reason.
NON-PROFIT BULK MAIL RESTRICTIONS
Due to AFHE's non-profit bulk mail permit, ads for the following categories are not permitted: travel, insurance, finance.
RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE
When new rates become effective, advertisers with a signed contract will retain their existing rates for the duration of their contract.
