Scholarships - Donating
The success of this program depends on you! Your investment in the Scholarship Fund can make a huge difference in the life of a homeschooled student as they pursue post-secondary education. AFHE is a 501(c)(3) corporation and your donation is tax deductible. There are two opportunities for donating.
General Scholarship Fund
There are several ways you can donate to the AFHE General Scholarship Fund.
1. UNITED WAY DONATION - You can donate by payroll deduction through the Valley of the Sun United Way (VSUW). There are over 1,800 Valley companies that participate with the VSUW. Ask your company. Our agency number is 1350. All monies received go directly into the general scholarship fund.
2. MAKE A DONATION USING THE GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP DONATION FORM - Individuals, organizations, and homeschool support groups can make a contribution by using the General Scholarship Donation Form (pdf) and mailing it to AFHE along with your check.
3. MAKE A DONATION WHEN YOU USE YOUR BASHAS' THANK YOU CARD - The Bashas’ Shop & Give program helps us raise funds for the AHSF scholarship fund at absolutely no cost to you! Click here for details.
4. MAKE A DONATION WHEN YOU JOIN AFHE OR RENEW YOUR AFHE MEMBERSHIP - You may add a donation to the scholarship fund on your AFHE Membership Application (pdf) when joining or renewing your membership.
Designated Scholarship Fund
The Designated Scholarship Fund allows you to personalize and apply additional conditions to your donation. The designated scholarship can be set up in the name of an individual, family, business, or other entity. The minimum amount is $500. These scholarships can be established by filling out the Designated Scholarship Donation form and mailing it along with your check.
