AFHE lists these homeschool groups as a service to Arizona's homeschool community at large.  We do not necessarily have first-hand knowledge of all groups listed nor do we necessarily endorse all groups listed on this site. We have done a level of review to try to ensure that all groups listed on the AFHE website exist to support and promote homeschooling as defined in Arizona Revised Statutes §15-802(G)(2).

Groups are listed below alphabetically by group name. Please contact individual groups for additional information about group size, philosophy, purpose, membership requirements and dues, etc.

ARIZONA HEAT

We are a Christian homeschool basketball organization. We are dedicated to making disciples while producing quality players and competitive teams.

ARIZONA JEWISH HOMESCHOOLERS - AZJHS

AZJHS exists as a support group for families that are Jewish and homeschooling or thinking of homeschooling, regardless of level of observance

AZ WEST CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOL NETWORK

Christian-based Yahoo group focusing on helping new as well as seasoned homeschool families by providing answers to questions, invitations to activities from other groups and information regarding homeschooling. We are not affiliated with any particular Christian denomination.

BUCKEYE HOMESCHOOL CONNECTION

A group for home educators that exists to be an encouragement, support, and a resource to benefit one another in educating our children at home. The majority of members are Christian, but it’s open to anyone regardless of their faith.

CHEVALIER NOIR ACADEMY - HOMESCHOOL CHESS CLUB

Chevalier Noir Academy is a homeschool chess club that has been meeting in the East Valley since 2001. We strive to develop, encourage, support, and instruct beginning through advanced levels of chess players.

CHRIST’S FAMILY HOMESCHOOL MINISTRIES

Our goal is to develop Christ-centered relationships by providing support, resources, activities, and fellowship opportunities for families who independently educate their children at home.

CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOLING ADVENTURES

Christian Homeschooling Adventures is an interactive, hands-on group where both moms and kids are involved in learning opportunities. We love finding creative ways for our kids to learn while socializing and building friendships. We hope this group will be a solid place of support, fellowship, and encouragement as we begin our homeschool journey together. This non-denominational Christian group is intended for homeschooling families with kids between 2-6 years old. Younger siblings welcome.

DESERT HILLS CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOLERS

Providing opportunities for Christian homeschool families to get together for friendship and fellowship. We believe that community outreach and service to God’s people can be an important part of a child’s learning experience. Thus, in addition to other educational activities, we seek to be an effective witness to the local communities in our area through hands-on service projects.

EVAC is a competitive sports association of homeschool families dedicated to exemplifying Christ while participating in athletic competition.

EASTSIDE EXPLORERS

Eastside Explorers is a cooperative support group, open to familes who educate their children at home. Lending support to homeschool families by providing a wide variety of educational opportunities and activities. Eastside Explorers is a non-profit educational corporation led by a Christian board of directors within a framework of Judeo-Christian values.

ESTRELLA MOUNTAIN HOMESCHOOLERS

A casual homeschool group sharing ideas, information, encouragement, and experiences with other families through a variety of educational and relational opportunities.

ETA SIGMA ALPHA - OMICRON BETA CHAPTER

Omicron Beta is a local chapter of Eta Sigma Alpha, a National Honor Society for homeschooled students in grades 7-12. Students who have scored at least 90% on a nationally-normed standardized achievement test, 180 on the PSAT, 1800 on the SAT, or 26 on the ACT may join. .

FIT FOR SERVICE

FFS is a physical education co-op that meets to strengthen our physical bodies, build healthy habits, make lasting friendships, and support each other in our homeschooling endeavors.

FOUNTAIN HILLS CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS - FHCHE

Our mission is to glorify God by providing fellowship, educational activities, information, inspiration and support to homeschooling families.

FUN ACTIVE HOMESCHOOL FAMILIES

A Central Phoenix based homeschool group focused on fun and wholesome playing and learning activities that value participation of the whole family, from toddler to teenager to parent.  Our group values are family, fun, friendship, trust, connection, and respect of individuality.

GIFTED HOMESCHOOLERS OF CENTRAL PHOENIX

We are a group of families that have chosen to homeschool our gifted children. The purpose of our group is to provide social opportunities for gifted children to spend time together with other gifted children, and to help educate families who homeschool gifted children.

GRACE CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOLERS

This is a Christ-centered homeschool support group focused on preschool through 8th grade educational and social activities (siblings of all ages welcome).

THE GROUP

Christian teen group focusing on fun activities and field trips in order to provide a forum for friendships and events to enhance the teen’s homeschool experience. For homeschooled students ages 13-18 and their families.

HAPPY HEARTS HOMESCHOOLERS

We are a parent-led homeschool support group designed to offer emotional support, social activities, and educational enrichment to children of families who are currently homeschooling in the East Valley.

HEART 2 HOMESCHOOL

A Christ-centered, parent-led group for families living in the south Phoenix/Laveen area. Our purpose is to provide support for homeschooling parents, socialization and cooperative learning opportunities for children

HIGH SCHOOL SUPPORT GROUP

Providing guidance and support for homeschooling parents of junior and senior high students.

HIS VISION CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS - HVCHE

HVCHE is a non-denominational Christ-centered group offering park days, field trips, monthly Mom's night out, school pictures, and fellowship for those in the South Scottsdale and Arcadia neighborhood.

HOME EDUCATORS OF CENTRAL PHOENIX - HECP

Home Educators of Central Phoenix is a non-denominational Christian homeschool support group. We offer parent-directed co-op classes, regular educational field trips, as well as excellent opportunities to build long-lasting friendships with other homeschooling families.

Our goal is to work together to offer a unique learning experience for homeschooling families in the Northwest Valley.

J.O.Y. HOMESCHOOL NETWORK

Christ-centered group meeting weekly to support, encourage, and pray for one another.

JUST FIELD TRIPS

Just Field Trips is an Internet-based group for homeschooling families to schedule and participate in field trips throughout the valley.

KNOWLEDGE HOUSE LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER

Multi-purpose homeschool resource center offering a lending library, supplementary classes, play room, standardized testing, honor society, kids and teens chat groups, plus on-line resources including website, blog, and email support.

Cooperative support group open to all homeschooling families who are looking for a wide variety of educational opportunities and activities. Open to families of all faiths.

PHOENIX HOMESCHOOLERS

Phoenix Homeschoolers is a religion friendly, non-denominational, educationally focused homeschool support group, serving the southwest valley. Membership is open to all families currently homeschooling at least one child 5 years of age or older in accordance with A.R.S 15-802.

RAISING HEARTS TOWARDS HEAVEN

Our focus is on building friendships and offering support and encouragement as we travel this adventure in life together! We are a Christian group. All are welcome.

SACRED HEART HOME EDUCATORS - SHHE

SHHE is an association of Catholic homeschooling families who have agreed to become an educational and social community to support one another, while maintaining each family’s autonomy in the process of educating their children.

SONLIGHT ARIZONA HOMESCHOOL NETWORK

We are a group of homeschoolers using Sonlight Curriculum, Winter Promise Curriculum, or other literature-based curriculum. Our primary goal is to provide homeschoolers with a group of open-minded individuals and families who want to come together and share their experiences in a safe environment. Our group provides several chapters around the state for the convenience of its members.

Providing opportunities for acting and production support for homeschoolers ages 10 and up in the East Valley.

TGIF HOMESCHOOLERS

Providing social activities for kids, support for moms, and enrichment through educational field trips, co-ops, special classes brought in, and events to celebrate life.

Homeschool Resource Center assisting and educating those seeking to homeschool their children through workshops, on the phone and in person and mentoring those who need help.

We Make History is an educational enterprise devoted to bringing history and the arts to life in the context of a creative, inspirational, family-friendly environment. As homeschoolers ourselves, our primary focus is serving the homeschool community.

WEST SIDE HOME EDUCATORS

Supporting homeschooling families in Peoria, Glendale, North Phoenix, Surprise and other West Valley communities. We are a mostly Christian group, not affiliated with a particular denomination.

WEST VALLEY CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOLERS - WVCH

We are a group of homeschooling families who meet together weekly with the purpose of supporting each other in all areas of homeschooling. Our membership consists of a wide range of homeschooling experience from veteran homeschoolers who have successfully homeschooled to college to families who are just beginning their homeschool journey.
