Exhibit Hall Information for Attendees

Exhibitors are a key part of our convention! We encourage you to plan time to visit the exhibit hall and attend exhibitor workshops, too. With over 140 vendors in more than 80,000 square feet of exhibit hall space, you will find an array of some of the finest homeschool resources available.

You will enjoy a shopping experience unlike any other in the state of Arizona at the AFHE Convention. Nowhere else will you be able to shop and compare curriculum and resources in person from this many exhibitors and publishers all in one place! We are grateful for the businesses who come and support the Arizona homeschool community by providing our convention attendees with a wide variety of quality curriculum and resources from which to choose.

Many of the exhibitors have a great deal of knowledge and expertise and are happy to answer your questions and assist you. Be sure to stop and chat with them and thank them for investing the time and resources to come the AFHE Convention!

Many of the exhibitors are experts in their field, and we encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to ask them questions and learn from them. When an exhibitor takes the time and effort to explain a product or give beneficial advice, please buy the product from the exhibitor who took the time with you. It is unfair to take advantage of one exhibitor’s time and knowledge and then purchase that product for less from a competitor. Buying materials from the exhibitor who took the time with you encourages an atmosphere of trust and sharing. It also encourages the return of knowledgeable, well-established exhibitors to our annual convention.

Friday, July 7
10:00 am – 6:30 pm

Saturday, July 8
9:00 am – 5:00 pm

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for registered exhibitors to present exhibitor workshops during the convention. Exhibitor workshops can be product demonstrations, introduction to services, or general interest sessions that may benefit your family. We encourage you to attend exhibitor workshops in addition to the featured speaker workshops hosted by AFHE.

Exhibitor workshops take place in 3 curtained areas in the exhibit hall. They run for 45 minutes and start at the bottom of the hour. This is different than the general session workshop schedule for featured speakers outlined above.

We are once again offering an Exhibit Hall Only Pass for those who have limited time and just want to come and shop. The fee for the pass is $25 per adult and is good Saturday from 12:00-5:00 PM only.

Exhibit hall passes may be purchased on-site starting at 12:00 PM Saturday at the registration counter. Passes may not be shared or transferred. Membership is neither required nor included with this pass. Children and teens are $10 each. Admission to workshops is not included.

BONUS: Exhibit hall only pass holders are invited to join us for the closing keynote at 5:00 PM Saturday in the ballroom at no extra charge.

Out of respect for our exhibitors and advertisers who have paid for booth space and advertising, distribution of literature, business cards, or materials and promotion of business is not permitted during the convention. Formal or informal surveys, polls, or canvassing attendees asking them for input is prohibited. Campaigning and signature gathering for petitions are not permitted inside the building.
Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children should not be playing or running around in the exhibit hall. We strive to create a pleasant and safe shopping experience for our attendees. Parents shopping in the hall should not have to work around overly exuberant children in order to speak to a vendor, make a purchase, or walk from place to place.
Experienced homeschool moms are available Friday and Saturday during exhibit hall hours to answer your homeschooling questions and to share wisdom and encouragement with you. The Mentoring Moms booth is located just inside the exhibit hall straight ahead next to the AFHE booth. These seasoned homeschool moms can offer guidance as you navigate the exhibit hall as well.

We are pleased to announce that we will provide a book check inside the exhibit hall on the right. You’ll be able to leave your purchases and strollers for a small fee with our book check team. Claim numbers will be issued to allow you to pick up your items or add to your pile.

NEW IN 2017: Due to space limitations and hazards due to blocked aisles, strollers will not be permitted in the workshop rooms. You may park your strollers in the book check area for a small fee. Strollers are fine in the ballroom and in the exhibit hall.

For your convenience, we are providing a 20′ x 30′ carpeted area with round tables and chairs and an assortment of board games, puzzles, card games, and more. This is a great opportunity for a parent to sit and rest a bit while their child plays between workshops and perhaps while the other parent is shopping in the hall.

IMPORTANT: Children may not be left unsupervised in this area. An adult must be present.

For your privacy and convenience, a curtained area is available in the exhibit hall. (When you enter the exhibit hall turn right and you will find the lounge in the corner past the Book Check booth.) Mothers with infants may sit down, feed their babies, and rest a bit. No men, please. Electricity is provided for nursing mothers who need to pump. Refrigeration is not available.

UPDATE: The Exhibit Hall is sold out for this year.  No additional applications can be accepted for 2017.

The AFHE Convention is an event that focuses on encouraging, equipping, and inspiring parents as they endeavor to teach their children themselves at home. Businesses that sell products or services designed to meet the needs of homeschooling families are invited to apply for exhibit space during the AFHE Convention.

Convention exhibitors and convention program advertisers must support AFHE’s philosophy and purpose of promoting and supporting parent-led, privately funded, relationship-based home education. Homeschool curriculum and resource providers will be given priority.

Participation in this event is by invitation only and AFHE reserves the right to decline any application that does not fit AFHE’s mission, vision, philosophy, and purpose for this event without further explanation.
