Grand Canyon National Park and Grand Canyon Conservancy introduce Canyon Field School’s Homeschool Days ! These day programs are intended for homeschool students but are open to all. Homeschool Days are most appropriate for 9-16 year olds and are themed days filled with fun and educational learning activities, guided explorations, games, crafts, and more! The cost of admission includes entry into the park and bag lunches for all participants.
MAY 16, 2019 – GEOLOGY ROCKS! Students will hike part of the Hermit Trail to learn about how Grand Canyon was formed and the importance of each sedimentary layer to earth’s history. Travel through time from over 1 billion years ago to the present and see the rocks and fossils that teach us about the past. Meet at Hermit’s Rest. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate.
