A mandatory rehearsal will be held Friday, May 28th from 2:00-4:00 PM. Please allow plenty of time for traffic and parking. Graduates will need to check in and find their seats in the sanctuary so that we may start the rehearsal promptly at 2:00 PM. Musicians will do a sound check rehearsal at 4:00 PM.

Graduates must return from dinner, be dressed in their formal attire, have hair and make-up complete, and report to the gown room at 6:00 PM to put on caps and gowns and be ready to line up for the ceremony. Absolutely no embellishments can be added to the cap or gown. Honor cords are permitted for those students who notified us in advance.

Dream City Church’s newly remodeled Building A where the AFHE Graduation takes place includes a bank of lockers where graduates can store their belongings during rehearsal and the ceremony. Graduates must bring their own pad lock. Remember to pick up your items after the ceremony.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. Please let your guests know to plan plenty of time for parking so that everyone is seated by 7:00. There is plenty of seating for family and friends. Sanctuary doors will open at 6:00 pm. Let your guests know that helium balloons, air horns (or other noisemakers), and confetti are not permitted in the building. Your guests may wish to bring water and a sweater or jacket.

Two photos of each graduate will be taken during the ceremony, one when the graduate receives their diploma and one off-stage as they return to their seats. These will be available for free download by graduate families from the MVP Studios website within a few days after the ceremony.

If you did not pre-order a DVD of the ceremony or you wish to purchase additional copies, you may do so on-site May 28th. DVDs of the ceremony will be available for purchase before and after the ceremony for $15 each. DVDs will be mailed out approximately 3 weeks after the ceremony. We accept cash, check payable to AFHE, or credit card.

4:00-6:00 PM

Following the rehearsal, graduates will have approximately two hours to eat dinner and get dressed in their formal clothing. Graduates may bring their own food or go out to a nearby restaurant

Musicians performing during the ceremony will do a sound check and quick rehearsal from 4:00-4:30 PM. We encourage you to have a dinner plan in place and to be sure to eat something. You do not want your memory of your graduation to be fainting from hunger. 🙂

Please note, we are not able to offer an on-site dinner option.
