HSLDA Compassion - Arizona Ambassador Team
Contact Cari Legere to sign up for HSLDA Compassion’s AZ State Ambassador email list to say up-to-date about opportunities to help hurting homeschool families in your local community.
Do you know a homeschooling family in your community who is in crisis or struggles to continue their homeschooling journey in the midst of uncontrollable circumstances? With your help, HSLDA Compassion (formerly the Home School Foundation) may be just the resource needed to help them during this time.
Carol Gary, AZ State Ambassador, along with a local team of Community Ambassadors works to help inform, guide, and encourage local homeschoolers who are suffering from any number of crisis events. See the “Get Help” section of the HSLDA Compassion homepage to apply for national assistance. Here is a summary of the various situations that have been helped in the past:
- Disaster Relief
- Emergency Response
- Military Families
- Prolonged Unemployment
- Severe Medical Circumstances
- Single Parent Families
- Special Needs Children
GIVE YOUR TIME
PRAY: Pray for the work of HSLDA Compassion.
CONNECT: Refer a hurting homeschool family to the AZ State Ambassador.
VOLUNTEER: Consider volunteering as a Community Ambassador in your homeschool support group or community.
HELP WITH A FUNDRAISER: Collaborate with the State Ambassador to organize a fundraiser for Arizona homeschooling families in need.
GIVE YOUR TALENT
Offer specifc service or trade skills to a homeschooling family in need. When a crisis or disaster hits, having extra hands to help with home repairs, painting, yard clean-up, plumbling needs, moving services, child care, and more can be a huge blessing to the family.
GIVE YOUR RESOURCES
Make a tax-deductible donation to HSLDA Compassion. Contact Carol Gary for direction on making a donation to the Arizona Ambassador team fund, or donate online to the national fund.
